Co-work-live
Sectional Perspective
Design Brief
The Co-Live-Work Urban Farm project transforms urban environments by introducing a multifaceted program aimed at addressing Singapore's food security challenges. By harmoniously integrating co-living, co-working, and sustainable urban farming, our design proposes a dynamic approach to contemporary urban development.
This initiative is a direct response to the dual challenges of rapid urbanization and food security, crafting a vibrant space where community members are integral to the urban farming process. At the heart of our design is sustainable agriculture, with the integration of green spaces and farming infrastructure across the building to foster a dense garden environment. This environment intentionally blurs the distinctions between living spaces and agricultural zones, encouraging direct community involvement in food production. The concept of co-living and co-working within this framework emphasizes community collaboration and sustainability, effectively accommodating a diverse range of activities including residential areas, coworking spaces, hydroponics, research facilities, and more.
Interconnectivity within these spaces is designed to enhance interaction and knowledge exchange among residents, embodying an innovative lifestyle that merges living, working, and farming in urban settings. Our project aspires to set a new precedent for urban living, addressing Singapore's imperative food security needs while showcasing our dedication to reimagining urban landscapes through a symbiotic relationship between community engagement and agriculture.

Project Statement
This architectural project embodies a groundbreaking initiative that aims to integrate food security and sustainability principles, closely aligning with Singapore's ambitious "30 by 30" food self-sufficiency plan. The project envisions the transformation of Tanglin Halt into a vibrant urban farm and living hub, fostering a seamless coexistence of urban life and agriculture.
Our architectural strategy challenges the traditional separation of work and residential spaces by incorporating urban farming directly into the everyday lives of the community. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainability, food security, and the creation of community spaces that not only meet residential needs but also actively involve residents in food production processes.
By synthesizing modern living with the ethos of urban farming, this project emerges as a model of sustainable urban development, epitomizing the goals of Singapore's "30 by 30" initiative. Our architectural concept is designed to confront immediate food security concerns while setting a precedent for future global urban development projects. This initiative underscores our dedication to reimagining urban environments for a sustainable future, where the principles of environmental stewardship guide urban planning and development.
